A virtuoso of the santour, the traditional Persian instrument with 72 hammered strings, Puneh Zarei presents a highly original contemporary work by fellow Iranian composer Ali Balighi. The other half of the concert at the atmospheric wooden church of Viikki features UMUU Ensemble performing music by Mario Davidovsky and Christian Wolff.

On Friday 20 April we present in collaboration with Sibelius Academy a workshop on santour as a new music instrument. Time and place are announced later. The workshop is open and free for all.

On Saturday 21 April Puneh is joined by local Iranian musicians in an evening of traditional Persian culture at Myymälä2 Gallery. Tickets are 10€ at the door.
